Nine Scouts from Sri Lanka were selected and R.M. Sineth Viduranga Rasnayake, a Senior Scout of the Minuwangoda President’s College Scout Group, who was one of the other Scouts in Sri Lanka, was also selected for the Jamboree.    

For the first time in the history of the world, an international jamboree was launched online without allowing scout activity to become inactive at a time when the world was slowing down due to the Covid-19 terror, with hundreds of thousands of scouts from all over the world, from all over the world. Participation was special. The Jamboree was based on YouTube and the Jamboree website, as well as other media outlets.  The Scouts were delighted to be able to provide all the equipment provided to each Scout. The Scouts’ zeal suggests that it’s important to organize such an event online in a time of fear, and we think it’s appropriate to continue to do so in the future.
